Date
2nd July 2024
Our friends at The Worshipful Company of Glaziers & Painters of Glass have once again extended an invitation to members of OUS-London to join their civic celebration which this year will be in the form of a Luncheon attended by the Lord Mayor of London, the Lady Mayoress, the Sheriffs and their Consorts.
This is always a very special opportunity for OUS-London members to experience an age-old London tradition in one of London’s iconic venues.
The Great Hall of the Worshipful Company of Merchant Taylors’ pre-dates the Great Fire of London and has been used for over 700 years of fine dining, balls, and large receptions. The three metre high stained glass windows flood the Hall with natural light and the lofty ceilings offer grandeur and space. Housed on the gallery is a mahogany organ, installed in the Hall in 1966, and the only remaining working organ within a Livery Hall. We will have the great pleasure of hearing this played by a leading organist
The Principal Guest will be Baroness Hale of Richmond DBE, the first woman President of the Supreme Court until 2021.
Full details and booking form will be e-mailed to members.
